Zobie Apocalypse Rescue Team, North American Unit

This is me (on the right) and my brother, Tim, (Chad, in the story) with our Zombie Apocalypse Rescue Team shirts, and, of course, shotguns.

Interesting fact, the shotgun I am holding is the one that my dad gave me in the story on day 3.

Thud, thud, thud.

It's what I woke up to. There was screaming all around me and I had no idea what was going on.
I live in Georgetown, a nice town in DC. It is a nice little college town. I can't remember much, but I remember news of a pandemic. We discussed it in my AP Bio Class and they said it was under control, one of those "stan" countries had some weird virus. All the western governments said it was nothing to worry about. I left class that day in a good mood, something nice and fresh in the air. I headed home, played some COD, had some booze, and hit the sac.

As I woke up, I looked outside my window, it was chaos. I had no idea what the hell was happening. Cars all over the roads, weapons scattered, and smoke rising from DC. Was it an attack? I had no idea! I decided to barricade my idea for the better. I quickly got to my Dell, and took a look on CNN. Any website I visited had some emergency logo sign, like those annoying emergency tests on PBS, except this was real. It said this, "Stay in a safe place until help finds you." With emergency and radiation signs all over the webpage. I freaked out, pulled out my M4. I was in Georgetown's ROTC program, all ROTC students are given an M4 and 4 mags in the case of an emergency. I said a quick prayer to our founding fathers for the 2nd amendment (Right to bear arms).

I soon hear a smash, and something weird entered my window through the apartment complex, then and there I knew it. Zombies, they hit us. Several came rushing in, I couldn't do anything. I sprayed and sprayed. Before you knew it, I was out on ammo, they all came gushing in. They bit me so hard, the louder I yelled, it seemed like the more it hurt. Just a few minutes and their feast was over. I was missing a foot, a bunch of skin, and part of my right arm. Blood was everywhere, something caught their attention, they swarm quickly left.

I could move, but very slowly. I became more and more tired by the minute. Soon, I closed my eyes, with a hell of a fever in my head.

I wake up, feeling different. I feel light, agile, and fast, most of all, famished. I get up, limping I run and find some other guys like me, we are all yelling. Heading toward the metro station, we might find some 'steak' there. We tumble down the fifty foot long escalator toward the metro to see fresh meat! We run as fast we can, as we would love a nice meal. However there is something missing, I can't tell what it is. My senses are weird, as I feel a lot different than what I was before, what was I? I have no idea who I am, what these things are next to me, and what we are doing. It feels like some pull toward a pack. As we get to the metro station, some sort of thing comes fast, stops, and picks up what was to be our feast! We all run to try stop it, but as it accelerates, we lose several parts of our.... who knows? As of know, i have no arms, and 1 leg. Moving is a bit more difficult, but it takes me no effort.

As we start back up the escalators, a large boom is heard. We look above to see several things in the sky, maybe fresh food! Suddenly, it is extremely bright, and we cannot see. There is fire everywhere. Most of the pack is now ashes, however, the rest of us have no idea what just happened, but we head toward the direction of the bang, in search for a satisfying meal for our empty... carcasses?
